Programme Overview The African Institute for Statecraft International (AISI) is established as a school of statecraft, blending research, mentorship, and hands-on training to equip emerging leaders with practical skills grounded in African realities. Its programmes focus on politics and governance, economics and development, diplomacy, security, and ethical leadership. This certificate course is designed to produce a new generation of leaders capable of steering the continent toward stability, prosperity, and global influence. 2. Programme Objective Upon completion of this certificate programme, participants will be able to: • Analyse the foundational theories, concepts, and institutions of international relations and diplomacy. • Evaluate global political, economic, and security dynamics and their implications for African states. • Apply diplomatic protocols, negotiation strategies, and communication techniques effectively in bilateral and multilateral settings. • Integrate the various instruments of statecraft—diplomatic, economic, informational, and military—in foreign policy formulation. • Design practical policy responses to contemporary challenges including climate change, digital transformation, and geopolitical competition. • Demonstrate ethical leadership and cultural intelligence in international engagements.
